Most of our Resin River style tables use English grown timber slabs from trees which are end of life, that were not grown commercially.

River tables are normally made by joining two or more natural slabs of timber with a “river” made from epoxy resin. This can be achieved by using the natural edges of the slabs for the edges of the river. If suitable the outside edge can also be used for a more rustic look, this can either be the natural edge or a manufactured “live” edge.
Farmhouse tables use staves of timber jointed together to create the tabletop usually in a pattern such as:
For farmhouse tables, the main timbers used are Ash, Oak and Walnut. Unfortunately, we do not mill large quantities of these timbers commercially in the UK anymore, so the timber we use in these tables and for legs \ table frames are imported from Europe for the Ash and Oak and from the USA for the Walnut
As with tabletops, we can make any design of timber legs, these can be made from the same species as the tabletop or from a different timber to create contrast in the finished piece
Alternatively, you could use metal legs which provide a distinctive contrast to the timber top. We work closely with trusted partners that manufacture the steel table legs to our design. The steel legs are powder coated in your preferred colour.
